HT 380 Q?
Ok so I m just getting started with my set up and I'm trying to get my setting correct on my DHC Plasmacam v3.11 with the HT 380. I incurred a problem with the torch cap led blinking in the manual it reads Pilot arc "misfires" or circuit not complete . I took it off the table and tried using it and it would stop working I would tap the gun and would work for a few cuts then trip so on and so on... when on the table I can cut every other letter but if I use the pause before cut it will cut it all.

Sounds like a poor connection or something binding. If the parts are tightened too much or dirt inside, it can bind & make for poor starts. Take the consumables apart, blow everything clean, lube appropriate parts with the correct lube, put back together _Gently_.

An overtightened retaining cap is the common culprit when this error occurs. Although a worn out retaining cap or swirl ring can cause it as well. The electrod has to slide freely inside the torch....overtightening the cap can cause the swirl ring to distort and will limit the electrode movement.

I always hate it I come across a post and it hasn't been completed. The issue I ended up having was the micro switch in the gun its self was bad I replaced that and it works great .
