More good stuff... I'm gonna have to review these hints in more detail this weekend. Thanks again for the knowledge sharing.

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
Another interesting plugin is to make USE of SheetCams SHAPE modual. The end results is to be able to produce parts from a command line interface. You simply type in a line, arc, circle and it creates the shape for you.
It is a conversational interface it uses a simple lanuage
Goto X1.000 Y1.000 (rapid to point)
Line X2.000 Y2.000 (create line from current point to XY points )
Arc X3.000 Y3.000 R3.45 ( create arc from current point to endpoint with Radius value or use IJ values)
Circle X10.000 Y10.000 R5.000 ( create circle from XY centerpoint at a Radius value)
You can also position everything exactly where you need it to be for the complete part.
THEN you can create the needed operations in Scam and post to your control.
I do the same type thing in Mach3 as a conversationl function but I use Gcode as the language. SAME thing only different.
G00 = Goto
G1 = line
G2/G3 = arc
etc
You can create a Part directly from a blueprint with no cad/cam involved.

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
Ok vmax, now you are just showing off.!!!!
Are you writing these plugins for SheetCam by yourself? I can find none on the SheetCam site.
For now I am only interested in the cost calculator but the others may have promise in the future.
So for the Mach 3 counter page this is just a set up through Mach Screen by selecting the correct DRO functions? I have not played with Mach Screen yet but have it loaded and waiting.
Is there a way you can capture the screen showing which functions you chose for each?

(;-) If I were showing off I would have shown you the really good stuff .
There is really no easy way to transfer the SCREEN data you need in a form that is usefull.
Let me think on this a little there may be a way.

I have had no luck finding out about these plug ins. Posted over on Sheet Cam Forum and no response.
Is this a top secret thing?

It is not a secret as per say BUT I am waiting on Les to make a FIX to include MATERIAL NAME in the job setup. After that is fixed I can release a beta copy for all to try.

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
Vmax(Terry), et al,
The response I got from Les via email was pretty straight forward.
As he (Terry) says it is currently a proof of concept and needs some cleaning up. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment to do this. It may be worth asking him if he would be willing to distribute it as-is.
Regards,
Les Newell

I have to assume that the plugin is functional to a point. Maybe it would be a worthwhile exercise to let a few people from Plasma Spider beta-test the plugin and produce a list of features that work or need tweaking?

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
Les did an update BUT it is a bit clumsy to use so he is going to redo it.
I am waiting patiently, well sorta(;-) In the meantime I did finish up the Scam Draw plugin. You can take a blueprint and ACTUALLY draw parts in Scam from a command line input. THEN use the Scam operations to finish the part right at the machine NO CAD NEEDED.

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
Thanks for the update. VMax maybe starting a whole new thread with a brief explanation of what were talking about since the original thread subject is no longer on point and it's a super cool thing I most of us would like to stay updated on.
Thanks again

Re: Another Wholesaling Price Check
I reinstalled lates SC TNG Developer, I was able to get the two editor buttons to function now, but when clicking on pricing button i get this error.
I checked the path, GW user is empty, no folders. That is not my current user, I couldn't find where to modify the path.
Can anyone help?
