Fusion 360 ignoring small cuts for path

Hi, I have been using Fusion 360 to generate my CAMs for my torch table, whenever i am trying to cut a peice of artwork or a detailed sign it will ignore small cuts and say "Warning: One or more passes were discarded due to linking constraints." For example if my kerf is set to .062 it will not cut an .125 hole. I know it has to do with my kerf width and it not doing it because its "to big". My question is what setting do I need to change to bypass the error or any other work arond.

Also take a look at your lead-ins for your pierces. If the lead-in is too long to fit in the hole or small cutout, it will not generate the cut path for that particular feature and issue a warning.

You can also just set your kerf width to something really narrow like 0.001" and set your lead-in length to zero. Then it should generate all the cut paths. This is a good way to see which setting is effecting your work.

I'm with David, just reduce your kerf width.

With a kerf width of .062 x 2 (both sides of the cut) = .124 and your cut profile is .125 Fusion will ignore it.

In general - having the lead-ins too long usually causes most of these problems.

Hello, new member here. I've just completed a DIY CNC plasma table. I didn't have any experience with CNC or CAD software. I started out in OnShape because I was learning to use a 3D printer. When I decided to learn how to build a plasma table I started learn Fusion.

I can't tell you how many times that I've redrawn this part that I was having trouble with getting a tool path. I had the same problem as the origional poster. I hate to think of how many hours that I've wasted trying to solve this problem.

After reading this thread my problem was solved within 5 minutes.

I'm at the point where the table is drawing the file. Now I have to get the plasma cutter hooked up and give it a test run. Hopefully I'll be able to do that today. Unless my wife decides that I have honey do's instead.

That's pretty exciting! Good luck, hope it all goes very well. I would start with a simple shape like a small rectangle or circle and see how that goes before getting into anything more complex. Let us know how it works out.
