Hi whiskeymike

the switch is a simple on/off toggle switch.
the wires from the switch go directly into the same terminals that are on the PWM for:
"ARC OK (TRANSFER)"
The original wires used by DTHC stay in place as well as the new wires from the switch (bottom right in picture)

I use it all the time on thinner materials, works a treat,
I turn the switch off when I have a delay programmed in from SheetCam ;) and it works as normal sensing the arc.
Hopefully below is a picture of my set up (the additional red and black wires)

This evening, I've experimented with entering a negative value in SheetCam's "Overcut" field in an attempt to achieve what Jim said above (..."leaving a gap at the end of a circle (before 360 degrees)").

I haven't nailed it yet, but the results are quite promising.
This method allows you to leave the CAD files unchanged and has a very similar effect on the divots as the M10/11 "torch off early" commands.

Note: the value shown here is exaggerated for demonstrative purposes.

I found your post and looked in my Avid CNC Control box and found the ARC OK wires nicely labeled. I will be wiring up a switch parallel to that connection in the next day or so and give it a try. from your photos and comments it looks very successful. thank you so much for your help!
