My new toy

Post by DARRYL21270 »

Just picked up a Millermatic 211 along with a Spoolmate 100 Series spool gun today. I'm all set to weld some aluminum. The whole setup including the Argon gas and a few spools of wire ran me about $1,800 but it was an investment that will definitely pay for itself.

I picked up a Miller earlier this year to replace a very basic Lincoln that I had. I LOVE the Miller. . Absolutely top notch.

Enjoy.

I've had mine about 3 years now, awesome little unit. If your going to weld a lot of aluminum you might want to do a few mods to the spool gun barrel to keep from melting tips. If you've welded aluminum before, on this machine you will need a little more stickout from the tip and set the wire speed a little higher than the chart. Just a few tips from my experience.
