Do any of the Aussies on here know where to get a hypertherm 65, i thought it would be an easy enough task, then found out i cant have one shipped from the U.S, the only one i can find is twice the price!
Hypertherm themselves wont reply to any of the 3 emails i've sent,
I know BOC badges thermal Dynamics machines for the local market, are hyertherms sold here under a different brand?
I decided to go Hypertherm for the support offered to everyone on here (jim) so ordered all my cnc interfaces and stuff already, Starting to thing im just going to have to Blow my dough and get a Thermal Dynamic.
Anybody have any insight on this would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Charlie

Re: Trouble getting Hypertherm in Australia
From memory you are in WA .
If so give Gentronics in Adams Road Welshpool or call 9472 4033. The rep I deal with is David Hillier 0419 952 327 he quoted one for me a few weeks back for one of my customers and it was over $1000 less than he was quoted by the local distributor who I also refuse to deal with. It will still be dearer than a US price but as Jim explained to me the ones shipped to Oz are different and have CE certification. If you are looking at a machine torch it is quite a bit cheaper to buy this from Harris Welding and have it shipped.

Re: Trouble getting Hypertherm in Australia
Let me know who you emailed at Hypertherm....and I'll be sure they return your messages. We have a couple of reps in Australia as well that you can contact directly. It is illegal for Hypertherm to sell CSA units in Australia....same for our distributors. The proper safety certification for Australia is the CE tick certification. Suggested list prices in Australia are close to the same as our sugested list prices in the US...I would suggest going to the www.hypertherm.com site, click on "where to buy"......and you can find listings for Australian distributors. If you have questions, feel free to contac me directly...and I will return your emails.
