I have a PM65 and I am currently running the duramax torch on my table. I want to get a machine torch so I can use the hand held for other projects. Anything special I need to for making the machine torch work correctly? Is the CNC port on the back of my PM65 needed or not? I bought the one without the CNC port.
Thanks,
Justin

Re: Wanting to purchase a Machine torch
When you install a machine torch the start signal to fire the torch must be routed through the machine torch....the wiring you likely have for the hand torch was done by cutting and splicing the trigger switch circuit wiring...and since the machine torch does not have that...the connections must be accessed from the CPC port. You can install a CPC port on any Powermax 65, 85 or 105 by ordering the CPC/Voltage divider upgrade kit from any Hypertherm dealer.
