Same great patina formulas now in gel form. 5 Different Gels!
A little bit goes a long ways. Photos & Video coming Soon.
I've found that if you put about a 1/2 teaspoon of the gel on the steel
and push it around with some low pressure air, you can make some really cool patterns of color & marbleizing.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for all your support!
Bill

Re: PATINAS IN GEL FORM!
are these patinas uv stable. I powder coated some stuff copper and the sun has torn it up? I realize the suns uv is rough but just curious if it would last any longer? really nice colors

All patinas, paints & coatings require a UVI Clear-coat to protect the color/s from UV deterioration.

Can't wait to see some videos of it in action. I imagine it in gel form the amount of product used is far less to achieve the same result. Am I correct in my assumption?

I should have a short video done by this weekend. (10/6 or 10/7).brewman114 wrote:Can't wait to see some videos of it in action. I imagine it in gel form the amount of product used is far less to achieve the same result. Am I correct in my assumption?
The Gel Patinas are similar in viscosity to honey & will stay where you apply them, even vertically.
What I've been doing is putting a small amount (1 teaspoon or so) in an area, then moving it around with a
brush or compressed air. The more you move it around, the more color variants & patterns you will achieve.
But yes...a little will go a long ways.
thanks!

Re: PATINAS IN GEL FORM!
There's very little color change or darkening when doing a clear powder-coat over patinized steel. The trick is to wipe the surface/s down with a lint-free tack rag right before the powder is shot on.conradestrada wrote:does the heat from the powder coating turn the copper darker at all? the video is not bad serves it's perpose!
