There was a write up in FarmShow this month about this new welder. If it will do half what they say it is a hell of a deal.
Claim to have been in europe for several years, was wondewring if anyone has any experiance with one.
I know there has to be a catch some place. Cosumable price etc
thanks

I watched a few of the videos in the link you posted, but maybe I missed something. It seemed a little under powered to me. The video where he cut the circle out of a piece of pipe showed him cut very little material - as did all the other videos. It does have 100% duty cycle, but looked feeble in the videos.

It is difficult to get the specs for this. It states 110V 2.0 kWt (do they mean kilowatt hours?). The fact it even runs on 110 makes me wonder.

$2,000 is a lot of money, unless you are looking for the portability. I don't see any advantage here for my shop. In my experience, 'multi-purpose' tools are usually only average at the things they do. There is usually some trade-off.

I own a Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter for use on my table, but the Ramsond CUT50DY plasma cutter for $500 in conjunction with my $750 Hobart Handler 187 would do all this will do and leave me with $750 change.

They use water or water/alcohol for shielding, thats the only difference I see.

I agree Pony, it just caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone out there had hands on with them. I have powermax 65, mig, tig, and big stick welder along with ocy torch and a exothermatic cutting setup, which by the way is bad ass in its self for remving frozen bolts and pins on heavy equipment.
