Power Max 45 Consumables

Post by tnbndr »

I did a search but came up with nothing on this.
Is there a fine cut consumable available for the Powermax 45? or just the larger plasma cutters? I only use the hand torch right now but will be setting up a table soon. Trying to decide to purchase a machine torch for my Powermax 45 or upgrade to the 65 or 85. 1/2" is probably the heaviest that I would cut.

There are no FineCut consumables for the Powermax45. There is an unshielded 30 amp set of consumables that some like to use on materials thinner than 10 gauge....however my experience is that the standard 45 amp shielded consumables work well on materials from 26 gauge up through 1/2". I have used the Powermax45 for machine cutting for almost 4 years, excellent machine.....especially if your machine has a height control ( a must have, in my opinion).

I would get the machine torch for the 45......if you choose to upgrade at a later time, your 45 will sell quickly! They hold their value better than any other systems, and are in high demand.

I will make sure the machine that I purchase has height control and a water table.
Thanks for the response.
