machine not detected message

hello all, my first post here. i have a dhc with powermax 1000. bought it used 2-3 years ago and have had very little problems so far, till today....the pc i was using went down, power supply and motherboard. went to local shop and picked up a re-furbished pc. plug everything in, load software, try to initialize and get message....machine not detected,turn power off check cables ect.. nothin. went into bios to check out settings....address 378 at printer port 1 epp. tried again, same message. tried new parralel port cable, same message. went back to pc shop got another rebuilt pc, went through all the same steps still for no joy. thank's in advance for your help. please bear in mind i am a "nuts and bolts" kind of guy and am not computer savy.

Did you try auto detect? Click machine, system setup, and it's in the box under parrallel port settings. Make sure to click "ok" in both the pop ups.

hello, yes i did all that. thank,s for your effort ,however its fixed!!! with thanks to the fine people at plasma cam. i needed to get the software update 3.1 works like a champ!!!! thanks again plasmacam
