I'm a newbie to all of the CNC stuff, and I just bought mY first table in November. I just now am finally getting everything dialed in pretty close.
I purchased a torchmate TM2 4x8, with height control, plate marker, and an integrated water table. For the plasma cutter I went with the Hypertherm Powermax 65.
Any one have any pointers, or things to watch out for.
I'm looking forward to contributing to the website, once I hone my skills. So far the little I've browsed around on here I've gained a wealth of information.

Re: Bought my first table TM2
Follow the cutting specs in the operators manual for your Powermax65. Best cut quality will always happen at the lowest power level listed in the mechanized cut charts in your manual. as an example....you can cut 1/4" steel at 45 amps with the 45 amp shielded consumables......or you can cut it at 65 amps with the 65 amp shielded consumables......cut quality interms of edge smoothness and angualarity will be superior at 45 amps.
