wiring a new hypertherm 1650 3 phase

Post by davidlphelps »

I just got a new 1650 hypertherm 3 phase and need to put a plug on the end of the cord. I'm not sure about the color coding of the cord wires. I know that green is ground and assume that red is L2 but not sure if black is L1 and white is L3 or if it matters for those two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, David

What voltage is your 3 phase ? The best bet is to makethe free call to hyperthermtech line
As far as most 3 ph motors go the colors wont matter as long as you have ground correct if it runs he wrong way switch any 2. On the plasma call Ht because it could depend on what type 3ph you havesuch as wild leg etc

If you put the green on your ground....thn the other three phase wires simply connect to any of the 3 phase power connections. The connections are listed in the operators manual..
