The difference between the V3 and V5 software is the way it communicates with the controller. V3 uses the LPT port and V5 is our latest and communicates via Ethernet. I looked up your history and see you are running a non-shielded Ethernet cable and that a shielded replacement is on it's way. Justin has you operating on V3 using the LPT port in the meantime.
You can still obtain the same cut quality you are accustomed to with the V5 software, V3 is not the reason you are getting rough edges. I know its Labour day long weekend but we offer 24/7 technical support so just give us a call so we can check your V3 settings and get you on the right track anytime.
