hi everybody im using draftsight im only a learner with this cnc.. i put a file into our cnc and it said too many splines? i presume the splines are the make up of the lines, would any body know other than redraw it how to add them altogether or make it a complete line.

Knowing what CNC its being sent to can help also It there are options in Drafsite for which version of DXF (Autocad) it uses can make a difference.; Of course if you are importing a file into Draftsite IT ca be "segmented" (arcs and circles broken into lots of tine segments (splines)

You can try exploding the splines, use help file for process. Once exploded use Edit Polyline, select entities, it will ask if you want to convert to polylines if they are not, yes, follow prompts. You should end up with one polyline for each cut.
If it won't join them as polylines then there are gaps in the contour you must fix.

I had the same problem only it was with Corel not Draftsite. The fix was as easy as saving the DXF as a different version, I think I was given 5 or 6 different versions to choose from and I just kept trying until one worked. Let us know what you find out.
