Another newbie question with a new issue
Not sure where I even got this file/drawing.
Opened in Qcad and Inkscape. Made the changes I wanted to it. Just deleted some lines and small changes. Saved it like I usually do and when I pull it up in sheet cam it is a mess. Then open it in command cnc and it's a bigger mess. lol is it worth messing with to save? Or just find a new design/file. Pics should be attached

Re: Another newbie question with a new issue
I see the design in your attached image is less than 3/8" in size. This could be the problem....maybe. I am sure David can help if thats not the issue. Curious if you scaled it up to 12" or 24" or something if it would work.

Re: Another newbie question with a new issue
If you would provide the original file (before you started editing it) - I might have a better idea of exactly what it is supposed to look like. If you are planning to cut this as a "positive", then the outer path would need to be continuous as shown below.

Your file as you have edited it would also cut fine. It would be a "negative" cut for something like a fire pit side, etc.

Re: Another newbie question with a new issue
Let me see if I can find the original version. The pic or file I posted is what I would like it to look like. I'd like it to cut it out as basically a silhouette? So I need it to stay in the metal. But cut the lines. That's why I added the small breaks in the outer lines so the image would stay in the metal If that makes any sense

Re: Another newbie question with a new issue
From your pic with all the spike things, the drawing is too small for whatever you have your cut direction arrows set to in sheetcam. Change the settings for those arrows or turn them off and see if looks better. You may be scaled too small, you can scale it up in your CAD program or in SheetCam I believe when importing.

Re: Another newbie question with a new issue
Great to hear. I am guessing that the original file is scaled to the correct size and that fixed your problem. Somehow your design got shrunk down so small it just wasn't going to work. Something to keep an eye out for in the future. I noticed this in your first image the dimensions are .350" tall and .310" wide, smaller than a dime.
