Xtool D1 Pro Z Axis

Post by CNC_rowdy »

Hello everybody, here is a question for all. Anybody know of a Z axis addon that would work with the standard 20 watt laser head that came with this machine? I am looking for one that would have the adjust height to material that could be screwed up or down. At this time, the "kick stand" height adjuster on the right side and the lock screw on the left side doesn't work for me. Maybe if there was an option to use the "kick stand" and adjust the cut and engrave height by screwing it up and down would work great for me. I am unable to use both hands at present, so this addon would work great for me. This machine is about 5 years old so I don't know what kind of setup is available now days. Maybe someone here found something like this and could post on it.
Thanks all,
CNC_Rowdy

If you have a 3-D printer you can print one, I did one a few years back similar to either of these, Look no Thingiverse and look under laser Z adjuster or some thing like that. My ikier already had a z adjuster I just printer a know to fit it for manual moving of the Z axis.

You might want to look at joining the LA HOBBY GUY forum. It is all about home hobby lasers. I am sure the answer is there.

Here is a nice little "add on" for upgrading your machine with a z-height adjuster you can operate with a single hand.

Tim - which one did you decide to go with? I thought that red one looked like a "turn key" add-on at a very reasonable price.

That unit for $63 looks like a winner for that kind of money. Has anyone bought and used this one?
