So this was a fun cut. Warped plate.

Customer wanted to salvage this .25" mild, in particular to save the mounting holes he had for an engine. So I drew up what he wanted and cut. The plate was welded around 3 edges completely. The welds are face down, which is what caused the warp. But watching the piece flatten as it was being cut was fun.

Also side note. There was no issues passing over slats as the plate was sitting above them. Doesn't prove anything to anyone, but it goes a long ways toward confirming my own thoughts on that issue.

Cool, I bet he was pleased, I never get tired of watching these machines cut and i am with you on the slat thing. I too prefer the sawtooth style to minimize contact with the pate and areas where the torch passes over a slat and welds the plate to it and messes with the THC.
