Good Beginning tutorial

Here is another Fusion 360 beginners tutorial if your starting out from scratch. The time line is shown for going to a section you want to see separately.

Nice find Tom! Here is his full set of Fusion 360 videos - I think he has six total. I see he also offers tutorials for Inventor, Autocad, BricsCAD, a several others.

I bought the BricsCAD perpetual license back in 2020 to use on my newer Windows 10 computers. It uses almost the identical commands to my older Autocad 14 that I still use on my older Windows xp and 2000 computers. It's nice when the tools and command set are very similar or the same. I have tried the latest AutoCad 2025 version - but I do like the look and feel of BricsCAD much better.

Tom - how are you progressing along your Fusion 360 journey? Are you just doing practice drawings, or maybe even making some parts?

I am moving along OK, since I don't have a project I am working on now I am just watching tutorials. I may start redrawing some of the original parts for the table I developed, to give me a work flow and practice. Fusion seems to have a much more common sense approach and the visual presentation makes working on a project drawing fantastic. The ability to move back and forth with the time line is great, see something you forgot and go back and correct it. Fusion automatically includes the changes through the remaining sections of the drawing forward.

Fusion has many functions it seem like how far do you want to go. From simple drawing to full animations of a project.

Tom - did you already print out the practice drawings that Arnold supplies with his tutorial videos set? Those are the ones that you use to follow along with each tutorial.

I did one but not all the ones he posted in the tutorial files. I did do one of my own, a remake of a 3-D file for my pen mount that used some of the tools, It was much better then the 123DDesign program I had used before. The tools in Fusion are more flexible.
By the way Fusion just come out with an upgrade today that I installed. It did complain about the Graphic driver on my system but the next time I loaded Fusion no problem showed up???? I did go through the procedure to check the driver on my system and it said none needed????

Tom - I printed out all the drawings to use along with the tutorial videos. Then I went thru all of Arnold's videos twice. After that, I found some other practice parts (maybe 20 of them) and worked on them as well. These are fun to do, and help develop the use of many of the drawing/design techniques that are used over and over again with other projects.
