File conversion

Post by rnorey »

Hi Everyone
I belong to our local snowmobile club and we would like to make this sign for our local tavern in appreciation for their support. Is someone able to convert this to a PCM file for me? I have included several versions because I don not know what is best to convert with.
I would also love to know what program is good to use to do the converting.
Thank you very much.

Do you need the circle and the cute booty, or also the text?

Hi Joe
The circle and the booty would do it. If you can also do the text, easily, I would appreciate that.

Okay. Do you want the black to drop out, or to BE the sign with the gray around the graphic and the text dropping out?

It make a difference in how the text is stenciled, etc.

As with ALL signs with TEXT, it is best to know the name of the FONT that was used to make the sign.

Can you contact the person who designed this, and ask them for the name of the FONT?

I can easily create "something close" but if you want it accurate, I need the name of the font or fonts used.

Text and character spacing is all over the map, and it is pure GUESSWORK to reproduce this sign without knowing the font names.

This was designed in Canva so the font name is "Canva Sans". Anything close will work. I can even add the text using DesignEdge after the fact.

The text spacing is not correct, and there are other issues. This is not the CANVA SANS font. It is something else.

I like them but I think the stencil width is insufficient for the center pieces of the text to remain attached on the first one.

Thanks, I agree that it wouldn't work if it cut at a small size. I did the two different versions just for that reason. The first one would need to be quite large the second one could be small. Both would need the outer circle deleted in order to get the design they wanted.

They both look good! I like the bold design better.

You are right! Plasma cutting is like trying to sign a check with a fat felt tip pen. You need Real Estate in order for the signature to be read. Lasers can give great detail in small spaces, but plasma cutting requires SPACE!
