I gave myself a Christmas present and bought a Langmuir Crossfire Pro. I am spooling up from scratch, so the table is in boxes in the garage while the bits and pieces show up. It also arrived just in time for the big blizzard which is leaving the garage absolutely frigid! I will tackle things when it warms up a touch.
I started out buying a welder, wanting to regain what proficiency I used to have, and shortly realized I needed things to weld together, which led me to CNC tables and in turn to Langmuir. I am looking at this as a hobby to begin with. I will retire in a couple of years as an industrial controls engineer and I want something to keep me occupied.
At any rate I've been having a lot of fun just getting to this point! I'm looking forward to the exploration and journey!

Re: Hello!
Sounds like a fun plan, bummer about the weather. This is a great place to learn, it has certainly helped me get going when i first started. Best of luck and post some pics of your machine or parts you cut with it when you get to that point.

Re: Hello!
Welcome aboard RUngles! Langmuir makes some great stuff, and the do have some great Fusion 360 tutorials at their site. Fellow engineer here - I'm a mechanical/electrical from UofA in Tucson. I spent may years in the Space Sciences working on flight hardware for Mars, Saturn, etc. Let us know if you have any specific questions about setting up your table or the software and we are here to help.
