Retired with the need to still mfg something. Currently with Crossfire table, ViperCut 30 plasma which I love. Working in Fusion / Inkscape making some address signs for family. Just did some hand saws and it has me thinking in that direction for some craft items to sell. Any tips on settings for this? First cuts I did were at 120ipm, air at 75 amps at 30. Has extra dross on top but didn't determine if it was speed or the rust.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard, there will be a very small amount of dross on the top that should come off easily. Speed mainly effects the dross on the bottom, if you make some test cuts with different speed you should be able to dial it in for the lease amount of dross. Just do straight cuts about 8 to 10 inches and check the dross, vary your speed about 3 to 6 IPM for thin metal.

Welcome! Sounds like you’re in it mainly for fun, great way to have it. Your air pressure likely should remain constant despite what you’re cutting, feed the machine 100psi and dial it back to the recommended pressure using the regulator on your Vipercut. You likely don’t get cut speed charts with that plasma cutter so document whats working best And create your own charts for the materials you cut. Acourtjesters suggestion of straight line cuts for testing is perfect and will help you find the speed and cut height that’s getting you good results. Good luck and have fun.
