Fried motor control panel

Post by michmetalman »

Hey all
I Have a 4x4 torchmate growth series and the little control panel that controls one of my motors fried out in the control box
I've called Torchmate, since this table is discontinued, they sent me to flashcut who made their boxes but they want almost $4000 for a box and I'm getting a new table next spring , so don't want to pay that much. Does anyone have a box laying around or the motor control panel they wouldn't ming getting rid of?
Thanks

You might consider posting at one of the Torchmate forums or facebook groups. Perhaps more Torchmate users there.

Or...contact an electronics repair shop. It probably wouldn't be a complicated fix as long as it isn't related to any proprietary logic chips (which is doubtful).

Is it the red box with 3.0 software?

This is an old forum for TM it has very little activity, but searching my give you some answers:

https://www.fabricationforum.com/members/torchmate.1/

They used to be a Yahoo based TM user group that posted alternative part numbers for some of TM's over priced hardware: I pulled the following info from their site prior to it being zapped. I have not verified any information on it. Pull your old card and look for number with a magnifying glass research /compare to this:

If you don't find any options to get that repaired you can get into a new 4 axis stepper control with a high speed DTHC5 and a new PC with software for less than 1500.00. With new motors and longer cables it would move to a bigger table and save you some money. Cheek out he HS-45 with or without motors .

Talk to Tanner at Fox creek fab. He just recently repaired my Accumove box. https://www.foxcreekfab.com/
