Help needed tracing pic .

I'm trying to trace or convert tis picture into something i can cut .. I'm having trouble figuring it out in designedge ..any help would be appreciated.

Mark - this would be pretty easy to do by manually tracing it with either Design Edge or Inkscape. I would use a combination of the bulge tool and straight lines in Design Edge.

One consideration would be whether you want to draw it with the 3D look of your photo or are you willing to simplify it to look like a flat part?

Are you trying to duplicate an existing logo on the other side of the vehicle, or is this a "one off". I assume you are cutting this as a stencil into a piece of metal you will weld in?

You may be able to work with these. Either using another font or from a quick manual trace. My manual trace was sort of sloppy, and you could clean it up as you see fit. You could also do a manual trace in Design Edge and depending on your abilities, come out with something suitable for your project.

Thank you so much ! I found the same font in designedge , but it just wasn't quite right . Close but not quite, so i used your trace and fine tuned it a bit and it came out perfect. Thank you very much for the help....

You parts look great! Please post the file that you actually used to cut it so I can see what sort of cleaning up/fine tuning you did. Also what is the name of the Design Edge font that you found that is the same font as your example?

Thank you David . The designedge font that I found was the same as the the one that you found and included in your reply . Here is the final edit from the file you supplied ........for some reason I just couldn"t figure out how to trace it properly. Thank you again for for helping a newbie.
