XP45 CPC connections
Can I connect the pins in the CPC port directly to the breakout board output terminals in order for the code to switch torch on and off or do I have to run it through a relay?

The torch fire connection requires a switch to connect the 2 terminals. I'm not sure how you would do this without a relay. What BOB are you using?

Re: XP45 CPC connections
The 45xp requires a dry contact start. If your board has an onboard relay or spindle relay you can use that.
if not, you need an external relay. I use this for my 45xp https://www.ebay.com/itm/284178698137?e ... SwxH1UHZwF

Re: XP45 CPC connections
Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
I have a BSMCE04U BOB.
I can input M04 & M05 to turn the selected output pin on and off. They show 24VDC when M04 is applied and 0 VDC when M05 is applied. Do I use the relay as a switch to short the relevant CPC pins to turn machine torch on and off?
Thanks.

Yes. Use the Bob pin to control the relay. You should also use a flyback diode on the relay coil to protect the Bob.
