single gantry plasma problem

Hi, I have a Mophorn cnc plasma cutter roughly 60 x 84 cutting range. My problem is when it is all the way extended and even half way it sways or shakes when it has to make turns, is there any way I can stiffen the arm and it still have it full range of motion?

It has a pipe attached on both ends of the arm, I thought about making that stiffer to help support the arm but I don't think that's enough.
