wavy cuts with belt on x/y move change

Post by BeckerFab »

I have a table that is belt driven. When it changes x/y movement fast, it will leave some wavy line cuts then clear up. How do I slow the cut before and after direction change in sheetcam or mach3? Or what are some settings I should play with that you all had good experience with?

Thanks!

You also may check the belt tension, to slack may allow a rebound action, I'm not saying tight like a guitar but not loose.

Excellent! I'll slow it down before and after corners. Thanks for the video!

My belts are tight. But thanks for the suggestion. Definitely an overlooked item. I think it is just the speed at which the direction is changed. The belts just have to much slop in them even when tight that it deflects a bit.

The cut rules Robert suggested may help to slow the movements before direction changes.
