New 4x8 build
I figured I'd start to share some of my current 4x8 build pictures. I've designed this over the past few months, but I've only been working on it in the evenings over the last week and a half. I'll try to keep pictures updated as I continue to build it.

Very nice work, looks like a solid build. Looking forward to seeing it when you have it done. Amazing what you can get done just chipping away at things in the evening.

Re: New 4x8 build
I got the pan welded up, still need to round off the corners and then I should be about done with the pan itself.

Re: New 4x8 build
It took 6 weeks to get it back from powder coat because Michigan got shut down for a while, but here it is! Definitely worth getting it all coated in my opinion. Also built an airscribe for it so we'll see how that goes!

Re: New 4x8 build
It was $1,000 to get everything sand blasted and powder coated the pan comes off so I had him do both sides of it and all of the tube work as well as like 30-40 other parts, brackets, mounts, etc for the table. I plan on having this for a long time, I hate painting, and my shop gets wet all of the time because we have a ton of humidity. It's not for everyone, but to me, it was totally worth it

When you consider the price of stainless steel water pan I dont think it is that much. I wonder how the powder coating holds up (with years of cuts) to the plasma beamTrinityFabworks wrote: βMon Jun 22, 2020 10:54 pmIt was $1,000 to get everything sand blasted and powder coated the pan comes off so I had him do both sides of it and all of the tube work as well as like 30-40 other parts, brackets, mounts, etc for the table. I'm not sure, I guess I'll find out! The pan itself maybe costed $200 to blast and coat the whole thing. I had a ton of parts blasted and coated at the same time as the table, so the pan wasn't the majority by any means. I built the water pan so that it would be easily replaced in years to come if I ever need to put a new one on it.

Re: New 4x8 build
I got some material rollers built for the side, as I don't have a forklift, and am very weak for my size. I bought the rollers themselves off of Amazon, and then designed some brackets that would work for my set up and bent them on the brake. (The forklift in the background isn't mine. I'm building the new machine in my uncle's shop because I don't have room for two machines in my little two car garage. Once I sell my old machine, I'll be moving the new one home)
