What type and brand Clear is everyone using?

I use Rustoleum 2x gloss and matte clear. I like the product, but I hate the stupid new spray tips, sometimes they only spray upside down, sometimes they clog right away... Ugh.. I hate them!

used some of this the other day, looks nice goes on easy with a nice fan spray tip.

Hey Scratch I agree what I do is remove the tip and use compressed air to blow through the tip before I put it away.

I use a lot of Rustoleum products and have a lot of issues with their paints and tips. I keep tips from used up cans stored in a container of paint thinner and switch them out, sometimes that works. Other times nothing will get the product out.
I keep random reciepts from the hardward store and return problem cans for exchange. It is a pain in the a**.

I'm not always so sure it's the tips though... Sometimes I'll get a brand new can to stop after about 10 seconds of spraying. And if I remove the tip and push down on the straw that goes into the can, nothing still comes out. That's when I return them. I've never really had problems with the cans that have the old style tips and would just switch manufacturers, but it seems like most companies are going with these stupid new tip style cans.

Yes I wish Rustoleum would get the stuff straight, I have had the same problem with new cans, and other that would only spray if turned upside down. Now that fun, I think the drinking straw broke off the tip only way paint comes out is if the tip is below the paint in the can

I turn the can upside down to clear the tip, then soak the tips in a jar of lacquer thinner. I usually leave the tips in he lacquer thinner over night, then remove and blow out the orifice with compressed air.

The cans of Rustoleum that I use will continue to spray paint even when turned upside down so I just pop the nozzle off, blow air through it, and wipe it off. For me that took care of the clogged nozzles. And about six months ago I started putting the cans in a paint shaker for 1 minute before using and I haven't had one to stop up since.

I am with Thor. You can't go wrong with Duplicolor. They also have a clear that's called Perfect Match. I have gotten good results with that too.
