Re: EasyScriber Settings - SheetCam Users
I had called you earlier today (5/19/20) So i am getting it to scribe the problem is I have to reset a new zero after each line.
I have the setting exactly how it is in the screenshot posted here.
How do I get it to stay at the same zero no matter where it picks up and moves to?
using sheetcam and mach3

If compressing the scribe tip .250"-.375" and resetting your Z zero in the DRO doesn't stick you should give your table manufacturer a quick call and ask them as they may have mach3 configured differently on their setup.

Re: EasyScriber Settings - SheetCam Users
YOu may need to check the G-code as to what it is doing, my setting were slightly different but are basically that same operation. See attached code showing the red arrows for start position of scribe after the Zero of Z as they said, this is a return position for each scribe start. The the code drops to 0.060" (blue arrows)to scribe with the spring load of about 0.100" pressure. Your code should show a return to the same height before each operation.

I am not sure what your specific problem is and my eyes are so bad I can't even read the setting in your posted image. Please post back and be more specific about the problem your having and I am sure we can help.

Re: EasyScriber Settings - SheetCam Users
HELP!
I have the Easyscriber but honestly havent used it much. I want to mark cross hairs for drill holes. I have it marking well and retracting between "cuts" but my problem is it is retracting too far in Z. I use sheet cam and generally love it but I'm basically crashing my torch in the positive Z between each move with this scribe. I do have THC turned off. I am using a crossfire pro with firecontrol.
I have the scribe set up with peirce height of .001" and cut height of -.030". Pierce delay is 0s, and I changed my rapid clearance in job options to .25" from 1" and its clearly not recognizing the change on the rapid clearance. Any suggestions to fix this?

Are you able to post a screenshot of your Sheetcam Tool Setup and Job Options screen?

Re: EasyScriber Settings - SheetCam Users
Having some issues as well. I'm using Sheetcam with a crossfire XR. My first attempt was going well until the machine encountered an error stating the Z was not in the correct position. My guess is this has something to do with my IHS sensor. It will scribe nicely for a bit and then the IHS alarm triggers.
