Just bought a 5x10 star lab table with a hypertherm 85.
Hoping to get my 2 sons (8-11) away from fortnite and into making stuff... promised them ninja stars and swords

Question for anyone willing to point me in the right direction.. so if I'm using qcad and I make a rectangle with 4 holes in the outside corners.. with some text in the center when I open it in sheetcam all my text is gone? And if I add the text in sheetcam it's really thin simply letters? Question is which area of the forum do I post my question or find my answer I'm struggling..thanks

I know nothing about Qcad, but in the programs I do use, I have to convert the text to an object before sending it to Sheetcam.

If QCAD does like Inkscape you need to make the text a path before saving or it will not show in SheetCam.

If QCAD is like Torchmate cad one must convert 'Text To Graphics' in order to be able to work with text in any capacity. Let alone send it to CAM.

AS I have said many time finding the name a software package call an operation is the key. Inkscape calls it "object to path", you highlight the text then click on path then object to path to convert it.

I'm slowly working thru it.. spoke to Matt at bull tear he said "highlight text and then hit explode"
