Price on a used Arclight 9600?

Post by Scratch »

My brother is thinking about buying a used Arclight 9600 table with Hypertherm 65.
It has:
Tubing cutter attachment,
HYT SIM kit,
Double slats option,

Looks like new its about 17749.00

His daughter used to run it so he knows its history. The guy is upgrading to a laser table. They're about 3 years old. Any idea how much it's worth used? I told him I'd ask the board here.
I think I'm the oldest 10 year old boy on the forum...

Anything used is worth what someone is willing to pay.
If it was me and it looks like everything works and was taken care of I would offer somewhere in the $11,000 range.

I would start out offering half of retain on used equipment. Remember you're not only getting used equipment but NO WARRANTY. If something happens to it in a week you're stuck with whatever it cost to repair. A new hypertherm could cost you another 3K.

Maximum cost to repair (replace the complete electronics and motors ) is about 2500. Usually a repair is a LOT less.
