Since the Powermax 380 is designed for hand cutting, use the speed in the manual (which is absolute max speed) and subtract about 25%. If you don't have the manual you can download it on www.hypertherm.com use the document download or library tab.

thanks jim that works much better i was goin to slow.I have been very fortunate on my choices with this new venture.precision cutting systems from calgary alberta who supplied my table have been great they suggested hypertherm and my pm380 and pm1000 have more than met my expectations.jason henry at cascade has been of great help and the folks at plasma spider are the best. I dont think i have ever had such success and great support with anything else i have tried. Thank you all
