Patina/Raw Iron/Steampunk Type Look
I am familiar with SteelFX and they make great product, however I want to have the surface powder coated, and I don't have any powder coating product, and if I were to SteelFX it, it would probably be scratched up by the time it got to the powder coating booth, since I have to take it somewhere. Does anyone know of a good process/color that will allow powder coating an industrial look?

Have you thought about just using Hot rolled steel, then grind with a flap wheel to remove some of the mill finish and leave some. It should give you the steam punk look as the mill will remove randomly in areas. Then take to the powder coater for a clear powder coat.
