Beefy you are never going to get a responce over there as it looks like teh Admin has locked teh subject to futher comment. THAT is the way they always work over there. To them MESA is the holy grail. It would be herisy to call them out for being the sorriest supplier on the planet. YOU are not the only one that has been treated that way and the Lcnc crowd just cheers them on as the best.
You are probably correct in they want to ONLY deal with OEMs (big dollars per order) BUT they are too SCARED to tell teh DIYers to piss off in fear of IF the bottom falls out of the OEM market (and it will sooner or later as soon as the market saturates or everyone figures out that Icnc is NOT what it is cracked up to be) then they will NEED the DIYer market again.
Hopefully the DIYers will learn a lesson BUT I dought it, THEY never do (;-) TP

I did find it interesting that the guy running Mesa is also a moderator on the Linuxcnc forum. Seems like a great way to control publicity to some extent.vmax549 wrote:Beefy you are never going to get a responce over there as it looks like teh Admin has locked teh subject to futher comment. Got to say I am shocked at the LACK of response from other members. Oh well if everyone over there is happy to get crapped on while they worship a company like that, good on them. Hope they never need to get their systems going in a hurry, and need a Mesa board.
I have been taking some pre-emptive action and saving the web pages in case they are deleted because it's not what they want to hear over there.
Who knows, maybe I'm a pawn in all of this and I'm doing Mesas dirty work for them, by spreading the word about what happens when you put an order in. Maybe they want rid of us little fish for now.
