did you try restting it? does it go right back into fault? Which gecko drive do you have? What happend when it went into fault? Sounds like a bad connection some where......

I am new to this I did not know I could reset I'll try that. I'v had trouble with it befor when I run it for long time it starts going back & forth real fast like it has a trimer. turn it off for about 30 min. goes back to working sometimes it blows a fuse. thanks lewi444!

Re: gecodrive shows fault
I dont know how your machine is wired but, on the gecko there is a terminal labeled err/res this is at 5v in the normal running state, and drops to 0v when a fault occurs. To reset it you simply apply 5v to that terminal for 1 sec. If it does not reset then you have a problem causing the gecko to fault out. From what you have described, I am guessing you have a bad connection in your encoder wiring or a bad encoder. If the gecko does not detect a working encoder it will remain in a fault condition.
