Is it possible to look at this finish and tell how he is achieving this look?
I don't want to copy his work, but would love to know how he's putting the color on and still allowing the metal to shine through. Figured some of you experts would be able to point me in the right direction. I thought about contacting him to ask, but don't know if that is something people like to share.
Thanks for looking

Re: How to Obtain this finish
Google: tinted clearcoat, candy paint, translucent auto paint, etc. for some info. Instead of starting with a basecoat color just polish the metal and add some sanding disc/grinder swirls for accent and then paint with an automitive candy paint.
He does beautiful work and successfully shooting automotive paint takes the right equipment and practice, sometimes years.

There are many people that are happy to discuss their work with you the worst is he will not answer your email.
I thought his technique of leaving the top dross and or heat effected area was outstanding. That love plaque was posted here he may be a member!
I like to cook and saw a TV program with a recipe I liked I found the restaurant on-line and emailed the chef about his recipe and he returned my email with info.
