Hello
I am doing some looking into the world of torch height control. In many of the papers I have found some of critical parameters that one needs to look at and one of them is the frequency of the ripple current that is from the inverter switching in the case of our small air plasma units. If there are any TD engineers out there that may know this I am interested.

Re: Ripple Current
Im curious as to why you ask. Are you having issues? I have an A-120 and have had problems for the last year and a half. Power source has been replaced, torch replaced, even used breathing air from my local distributor thinking i had an air issue.

Re: Ripple Current
Hi
I had read some papers on automated torch height controls that referenced the power unit ripple current. I was just curious. As usual the explanation from Jim Colt at Hypertherm was complete and informative, too bad we don't hear from Thermal Dynamics.
