Bezier or Polyline tool?

Post by muzza »

I have watched a lot of tutorials on tracing in Coreldraw and find some use the Bezier tool and others the Polyline tool.

I have X5 and tend to use the Polyline tool.

What is your preference and is one better than the other for manual tracing or is it more a personal preference and what you get used to.

Thanks
Murray

The polyline tool gives you the ability to freehand straight lines and smooth arcs with the same tool by clicking point to point for straight lines and click-hold and move your mose in an arc to create arcs. The bezier tool is more for drawing line segments point to point continuously. Arcs can be drawn with the bezier tool in a series of short line segments but then the arc needs to be smoothed out with the node reduction tool to make it smooth and flowing. I use both depending on the application.
