I can't speak for Lazart's method of finishing, but the finish in the photo link is really easy.
You could get a nearly identical look using RUST F/X, followed by FLAME F/X GEL, the gel patina
being applied by dabbing (stippling) and/or lightly dragging the patina gel with a rough sea sponge or even a wadded up piece of burlap.
If your steel is already rusty, the FLAME F/X GEL will even work on that, but the TORCH F/X (liquid/spray patina)
will only work on top of the RUST F/X patina...won't have any effect on bare steel, shiny or rusted.
