I have an unusual question for you. The mechanics of my table are in need of modification. Above a certain feedrate I get bounce / oscillation causing a scalloped edge on the cut sheet. If I can keep the feedrate low enough the table is steady. Even the Finecut nozzles do not allow me to reduce the feedrate low enough.
I see my Powermax 1250 has a minimum current output of 25 amps. Is there any small torch I could retrofit my machine with that could take advantage of this much lower 25 amps. This could also be good for intricate artistic cutting.
The only other option I have (apart from rebuilding my table with the time and money issues) is to take any small torch and "splice" it to a Hypertherm plug at the machine end.
Desperate people do desparate things LOL.
Cheers,
Keith.
EDIT: Jim has told me on another part of the forum that the Finecuts can handle 20-25 amps so the solution is built in to my existing machine. Couldn't wish for more in a plasma cutter
