export problem

when i import this dxf to sheetcam the outlines are not coming in as one solid object ( my cad is draftsight) when I select the outside to assign it to a layer only part of it selects. if i select them individual i end up with multiple start and stops. what do i need to do different? I am putting everything on continuous bylayer in cad?
