Need help in deciding what software to run

Post by MetalGardenGarage »

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my post as i could use as much guidance at this time as you can spare. We have since decided to convert our less than 1 year old cnc router into a plasma. In you're opinion what is the best/easy to use software to run? I was looking into NestMaster but could not find a price on the software. All files will be imported from Autocad.

Thanks!

Brian:
If you take some time to look through the old posts in this section of the forum you will see there have been discussions on this topic. Are you not able to use the same software that runs your cnc router?
The most commonly used softwares amongst plasma seems to be Sheet CAM to create the G-code and Mach 3 to run the G-code (.tap file) and control the CNC Plasma.

The software currently on the router is aspire. I figured there might be a more user friendly plasma software out there. I will check out the other thread and you're recommendations.

Thanks.
