Checking to see how many are using Mach with windows 7 without problems. And if any have had problems what were they.
Thanks Tom

I run my system with windows 7. I haven't had any problems at all. I do follow CandCNC's setup instructions by disabling any extra ports and not running any other programs while Mach3 is running. I use the DTHCIV ethercut system from CandCNC.

Tom, I have windows 7 and Mach3 and sheetcam on the same computer and it runs fine for me now. I still really don't know if the DTCHV is working right or not. While I'm here do you guys loose an arch when cutting small pockets and letters. I can't cut half of these DXF files you can down load from this forum to cut with out stopping and messing up my plate.

Thanks for the replies about Win 7

Biker you state you are having a problem with your arc stopping, do you mean the plasma stops or are you getting an error which stops the cutting operation??
I think if you enter a post under "Plasma Cut Quality Form" there a many smart guys that will help.
Just remember to list you equipment and how and when you problem happens so we clearly understand what is going on.
One thing I would check if it stops and you see no error you may have noise spikes that makes Mach think a switch has tripped. Noise will stop mach but as it is false you see no error only the red reset box is flashing and it has stopped.

I am running Windows 7 32bit with Mach 3 set up by LDR on a laptop when I purchased my machine. I furnished the laptop and Dan set it up. It was not his recommendation but he did it and it works fine.
I have had a few small issues but I cannot state they were Windows 7 related. Every once in a while I loose the arc cutting and in Mach 3 I get the whirling derbish icon that won't go away. I have to shut Mach 3 and restart, zero and start cutting again. Has not happened in quite a while now. (knock on wood(head))

I'm in exactly the same boat. I think the latter issue has more to do with the DXF files themselves being in some case a bit messy and not the marriage of MACH 3 and Win7. No problems with stoppage on my self-created files. My DHTC on the other (CandCNC DHTC IV) hasn't seemed to me to be working since day one. I use the table so infrequently though due to winter and my real job, it's not an issue I've needed to solve just yet, since I'm usually only cutting one piece at a time and have been worried more about table shudder and cut quality due to a very heavy gantry on a relatively small table frame that until just recently wasn't secured properly.
