Re: What should I get
I have the HT-45 and it does everything I ask of it. It's a great machine, and I have cut 3/4" with it, but that's edge start. So I'd say it depends on what you are going to cut with it on your machine.

Re: What should I get
I have a PM45 which is great, but I do wish for larger when I'm asked to cut thicker materials. I've cut up to 3/4" with my 45, but 3/8" and thicker would be nicer to have more power. Plus, the 65 will give you the automatic air pressure settings, the Duramax torch, and finecut compatibility.
If you get a 45, you'll be happy. If you get a 65, you'll be happy AND have more flexibility. If you can swing it, this is a "buy once, cry once" situation. You'll never regret the larger machine.

i cut 16 14 3/16 and 1/4 all the time I ben ask if I could 1 1/4 but I do not think the 65 could do that I just send it out to Waterjet and I ok with that I hopeing next year I could get a waterjet
On the air flow how important is it to have it set to the right air pressure on my machine it do not work

The Powermax65 will do 1-1/4" if you edge start...no piercing (pierce rating is 5/8"). The 65 actually does a better job on thin materials as compared to the Powermax45....as it has the ability to use Finecut consumables at lower power ranges. The 65 also has: auto air pressure, digital readout with system diagnostics, longer consumable life (newer technology Duramax torch), higher duty cycle, the ability to operate on any voltage between 200 VAC and 600 VAC, single or three phase, etc.

I am assuming a water-jet today is $45,000.00 +

Also would require 3 phase power for the monster pump?
