Help Please-Mach3
I'm running Mach 3 on a lDR table . No probs until yesterday! My x Axis isn't working? On the Mach screen the numbers are moving but nothing out of stepper on table. The other two axis are fine and there motors are warm as usual. The stepper for the x axis is cold like it's getting no power. I've checked what I could fuses wires plugs ect . The motor isn't making noise or anything. ?? I'm lost I ordered another stepper but I don't think it went bad. Any ideas would help thanks

Re: Help Please
Have you got power to your X-axis stepper drive.
Does the drive have an enable input and is that present (voltage).
Seeing as your other 2 axis are OK, you could take the step wire from one of them and temporarily put it on the step input of the X drive to see if you get movement.
You need to eliminate the area of the problem - drive/stepper end or control signals to drive/stepper.
Edit: Then let's say you found it's the drive/stepper "block" you then start swapping the drives and the motors until you find which one is stuffed.

Re: Help Please
That is how i had to do a test before. Swap wire to see if it was the controller or the servo.
