Any idea why when I import files and convert to cut path the lines look like this above....New to this and not sure if I am doing something wrong.

If i got something like that i would think that there was way to many nodes.

it looks like your importing a cut path instead of a complete dxf drawing.
a cut path has broken lines in it somewhere and you will see dashed lines anytime you have a broken line.
thats what i get in torchmate cad anyway. hope this helps.

If it does it on everything you import it has to be a setting in the software you are using . . .

If I was doing an autocad drawing I would use a dashed line on a separate layer for hidden lines. Or if it is a bunch of points in autocad you can try command overkill to clean it up some.

Check the linetype of the layer you are creating the item on. It may look solid in CAD due to the linetype scale factor but show as the actual linetype in SheetCam or whatever program you are importing it into.
