Hypertherm PowerMAX 85
Pierce Height in charts.
Anyone know what the % percentage figure next to it represents?
What is the lowest amperage you can set the PowerMAX85?
All I have is a download manual & could not find it.

Re: Pierce Height %%%%
It is in there for use with some industrial height control systems that set the pierce height as a percentage of cut height. If the cut height is .060" and the physical pierce height (also listed in the cut chart) is suggested as .120, then you will see that the pierce height percentage will be listed as "200", or 200% of .060", which is .120".
If you look in the specification section of your operators manual....specifically the power supply electrical specs, you will see that it is designed to operate from 25 to 85 amps. Turn the amperage setting fully counter-clockwise and it will produce 25 amps of cutting power. The download manuals are identical to the printed manuals, all the same information is included.
