replacement machine torch holder

Post by rustyhook »

looking for a replacement torch holder for my table. Anybody have experience purchasing one and installing on their machine?? I have a hypertherm powermax 45 machine torch head and THC function. Done a search on this site and minimal finds, I'm looking to purchase one not build one. thanks for any advise for suggestions.

I have a snap n cut machine torch holder. Couldn't be happier with it. Honestly I don't think I could have chased down the material, designed and fabbed it, hope I got it right the first time, and come out ahead over just buying one. It holds plenty strong, yet indeed pops off if there is a collision. I use the digital THC with my plasmacam, and it is extremely sensitive so it stops asap if the plate contacts the torch. However, if someone happens to lay something on your table (lets say, just for fun, a wooden handled magnet) or if you use something to cover the table for fume extraction / downdraft (again, for fun, lets say a welding blanket) and it whacks the handle, or grabs a fold of the blanket an drags it into all kinds of a knot (all hypothetically speaking of course) it will pop loose BEFORE everything ends up in a nine line bind and the gantry jumps a tooth or 5 on the gear rack, or burns up a belt etc. When I ordered mine his US distributor was out of stock, he had to ship it to me from Australia, I was a little nervous but others on here have his holder and he seemed up front, I paid with Paypal and shazaam, about 4 days (may have actually been 3) it was here on my doorstep. My 6 year old was amazed that it could get here that fast. I was kinda impressed as well. Anyways, long story short, love it. Yes I would buy another. I thought when I was buying it that the price was kinda high ($300 ) if I remember correctly, but in my opinion, money well spent. Even if you had everything laying around, by the time you prototyped it, machined it, and fitted it up, at shop labor rates you would have more then $300 in it. I think the website it snapncut.com or some such. Little google-fu will get you there I'm sure.

That is all.... Carry on..........
