Im trying to hook up a mp3000 to a PCNC table. I have two questions does anybody out there know how to hook up the MTA150 card to the PCNC servo driver. There are no wiring diagrams of the servo driver to let me know where to hook up xyz dir and step. Second I know that I need the homing switches but do I also need to install three more limit switches. Any help from anybody that has done this conversion would be much a appreciated.
thanks
kevin

Re: NEED HELP
Thanks Greg
I did figure out the MTA 150 card. Come to find out that it is not needed with the PCNC servo driver. I do think that i am going to just install the homing switches at this time untill things are working correctly. I am how ever a little woried about Mach 3 and Sheet cam sounds like it could be a long learning curve.
Thanks
Kevin

Re: NEED HELP
You have to install the homing switches in order to calibrate your machine. I don't know if you have servos or steppers but the X and Y on my machine are 1911 steps/inch and the Z is 10,000/inch. This may be different for you but the machine ratios should be the same. 5:1 on the Z and 2.625:1 on the X and Y.
Good luck
Also get on the yahoo group CandCNC tom is very quick to answer questions.
